Nokia N95 8GB

Nokia N95 8GB

The size is the same, as the Nokia N95 8GB measures 3.8 x 2.8 x 0.8 inches. The difference comes from the case which now is sexier and all-black with the soft-touch back. Nokia managed to do something better with the space in the front of the cellphone as the display is larger, 2.8-inch compared to 2.6 inches. The QVGA non-touch screen, displays 16 million colors and it sports a resolution of 320×240 pixels. Maybe this difference doesn’t impress you, but the photos, videos and the websites can be viewed much better now.
The strongest is the 5 Megapixel camera as it is equipped with a 20x digital zoom, built-in flash and a suite of shooting and editing settings more sophisticated than I’ve seen on other cellphones. In cameras, image quality depends greatly on the glass used for the lens and here the N95 uses Carl Zeiss glass (same as used in the Sony Cybershots) and the quality is fine enough to make the N95 a suitable point-and-shoot vacation camera, it can even shoot video at 30 frames per second in M-PEG 4 format. The second camera is a lower resolution unit added to the front and activated here in Canada for Rogers Vision video calling, although it too can take still photos should you need it too.

Although it supports 3G data connections and Wi-Fi access, the N95 is built more for pleasure and social activity than for business . GPS navigation is done using TeleNav which offers turn-by-turn navigation (subscription sold separately) and a 3D map view similar to what is offered with dedicated dashboard models, although not as useful in this case as to get a proper signal, the N95 has be slid open with the keypad and screen facing up to the sky.
